AssuredBio Chinese Drywall Testing Options Results in three days!!! While many tests are available for detecting Chinese contaminated drywall, only a few provide accurate, precise, and reliable data. AssuredBio teamed with researchers from the University of Tennessee to select and develop the most cost-effective test with reliable data. This type of analysis is used in crime labs and courtrooms across the country for everything from detecting illicit drugs to counterfeit money.
The above graph provides empirical data of our detection capabilities. Replicate samples of Chinese and American drywall were analyzed using Fourier Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR). FT-IR is a chemically-specific analysis technique used to identify chemical compounds and constituents. The X-axis is the wavenumber of light and the Y-axis is absorbance. The red line is the spectrum for known Chinese drywall samples and the blue line is the spectrum for American drywall samples. AssuredBio's FT-IR Test InformationTwo types of discrepancies occur between American and Chinese drywall. The most important is the wide, short peak in the Chinese sample between 1400 and 1500 on the x-axis, noted by the star. This peak is not found in the American drywall and is the cause of corrosion, odors, and health issues. The second difference is noted by black arrows and indicates a difference in quality between the contaminated Chinese drywall and uncontaminated drywall. This test uses Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) to determine whether drywall is contaminated. The contaminants in Chinese drywall include several disulfide compounds that are easily distinguished in the analysis. To date, AssuredBio identified two types of Chinese drywall, one using wax as a binder and another that does not. Our aim is to provide data you can trust at a great value and FT-IR allowed that to happen, as it is less expensive than other tests on the market. Why Is This Analysis Best?
AssuredBio's Corrosion TestingWe here at AssuredBio offer a Corrosion Test that is recommended by the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) on behalf of the US-EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).
AssuredBio's Strontium Sulfide TestingAs another piece of corroborating evidence we here at AssuredBio also offer Strontium Sulfide testing. This is a quantitative analysis that accurately reports the ppm (parts per million) of strontium sulfide inside of your sample of drywall.
