The SIM Molecular Mold Kit—Survey of Indoor Molds—identifies and quantifies 36 selected fungal DNA targets in settled dust collected with a sterile swab.
Suitable for dust reservoirs on surfaces in carpeted or non-carpeted spaces. SIM uses the same fungal target panel as ERMI, without requiring ERMI’s standardized vacuum-dust collection protocol.
Composite sampling: collect from up to ten locations with one swab, following the kit instructions. Combined results represent the submitted sample and do not identify which location contributed each fungal target.

Results measure selected fungal DNA targets. They do not date mold growth, measure mycotoxins, determine fungal viability, or diagnose a medical condition.
