Plan Your Continuous Air Sampling
1. Choose Your Configuration
WhisperCare® collects airborne material using M-TRAP® air cassettes. Use one or two cassettes according to the sampling plan established with the laboratory. Confirm whether samples will be analyzed separately or pooled before collection.
2. Select the Operating Mode
The specified flow rates are 1.0 liter per minute per cassette in Silent Mode and 3.5 liters per minute per cassette in Whisper Mode. Confirm the mode, equipment configuration, and collection duration with the laboratory before starting.
3. Collect Over the Planned Period
Position the system on a stable surface or suitable mount at the agreed sampling location. Extended collection periods may range from days to a month, depending on the project. Shorter periods may be appropriate in critical locations. Record the sample identifiers, location, operating mode, start and stop times, and any interruptions.
4. Submit for Laboratory Analysis
Follow the laboratory’s instructions for removing, sealing, packaging, and shipping the cassettes. Complete the Chain of Custody form and identify the fungal or bacterial analyses requested for each sample.
