Quantification of Lead down to 3 parts per billion (ppb). In water, lead is odorless, tasteless, and invisible, and even low levels are considered dangerous to your health. Contamination comes from lead pipes and lead solder in plumbing infrastructure including service lines; changes in water chemistry can cause corrosion, leading to higher levels of lead being released into the water supply. EPA maximum contamination limit is zero; action is recommended for levels exceeding 15 ppb. Key Reasons to Test Drinking Water for Lead:
- Plumbing Infrastructure especially for homes built before 1986 and if pipes corrode.
- Health: lead a toxic and a carcinogen. Even low levels can cause developmental issues in developing babies and children, including cognitive impairment, behavioral problems, and reduced IQ. In adults, long-term exposure may result in kidney damage, high blood pressure, and other serious health conditions.
- Protect Vulnerable Populations. Testing is especially important in households with young children, pregnant women, or nursing mothers, as these groups are at a higher risk of lead poisoning and its long-term effects.
- Peace of Mind knowing your family is protected from the harmful effects of lead.

The Basic Bacteria Test detects Coliform and Escherichia coli (E. coli), common bacteria that can pose significant health risks. The Presence/Absence test is an industry standard, as any detection of coliforms or E. coli bacteria in drinking water is considered a health hazard. Consuming water contaminated with these bacteria can lead to recurring gastrointestinal illness, with symptoms such as stomach cramps and diarrhea. Wells and springs can receive contaminants from surrounding land activities or septic systems, and biofilms can become established in plumbing, which is why the EPA recommends annual bacterial testing, as changing conditions can introduce new risks. This test is recommended if:
- You are served by a private well or spring
- This is your daily water source
- Small children, elderly adults, immunocompromised, pregnant, or nursing individuals consume the water.
- After flood events.
- You notice a musty, moldy, or mildew-like smell or taste in the water, or observe biofilm buildup or other microbial growth on faucets and fixtures.

BIG 2 Molecular Mold KIT Our most affordable Molecular (DNA) Mold Analysis, the BIG 2 provides unparalleled insights about the mold concentration in a home. The BIG 2 is a complete screen for the common water intrusion molds that include Stachybotrys (commonly referred to as toxic Black Mold) and Penicillium/Aspergillus species. The BIG 2 can be configured to include other key indicator molds for indoor health and structural decay. Results from a BIG 2 analysis can be used to
- Screen up to eight locations with a single swab
- Detect surface mold growth
- Determine the severity of mold contamination
- Identify the concentration of allergenic and mycotoxin producing molds
- Aspergillus / Penicillium Genus identification. Known for colonizing water damaged environments. Mycotoxin producing molds with small allergenic spores.
- Stachybotrys chartarum Species identification. Commonly known as toxic “black mold,” it produces spores with potent mycotoxins that cause severe respiratory issues and memory issues1, degrades wallpaper and coverings, while off-gassing profuse noxious odors called MVOCs.
- Cladosporium Species identification. This common allergenic mold thrives around HVAC diffusers and drafty windows. It colonizes surfaces where hot humid air meets cold air and water condenses. A recommended addition when HVAC contamination is suspected.
- Chaetomium Species identification. Colonizes wet floors and baseboards. It prefers softwoods like pine, wallpaper and textiles. Often visible as tiny black spots under carpet on tack board and subfloors. Produces mycotoxins and mutagens. Recommended when evidence indicates long-term water intrusion, slow leaks, and infiltration from heavy rainfall events.
- Trichoderma Species identification. This mold colonizes water saturated wood and is a precursor to structural wood-rot. Recommended for persistent, long-term water intrusion scenarios.

Easily detect Corrosive drywall with this 30-Day test, Laboratory analysis included. This product was designed for the homeowner to detect corrosive drywall. KIT consists of 10 copper coupons for placement throughout the home over a period of 30 days. Return the copper coupons to the lab for comparison to coupons that have been corroded by known Corrosive drywall reference materials. The identification of corrosion, utilizing this at home method, may serve as evidence in identifying Corrosive drywall as laid out by the Consumer Product Safety Commission in their 2010 publication Interim Guidance- Identification of Homes with Corrosion from Problem Drywall. KIT includes instructions, 10-copper coupons, laboratory analysis

This cassette us used to collect dust samples using a vacuum cleaner. The dust collector is a molded plastic device with an inner capture basket that fits onto the wand of most vacuum cleaners. Used to take samples of indoor molds and allergens. This sampling collector can be used for an ERMI analysis. The Environmental Relative Moldiness Index, developed by the EPA for 36 species of mold. Click here for EPA sampling instructions for ERMI
-
The ERMI test is an industry standard that offers a highly accurate and easy-to-understand method for assessing mold presence and health risks in a home. This analysis was developed by the EPA with the sample collected by vacuuming dust from carpet. For non-carpeted spaces, select the Survey of Indoor Mold KIT (SIM). Key Features:
- Comprehensive Detection: This panel includes 36 mold species, with 26 linked to water intrusion events such as Stachybotrys chartarum, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus versicolor, and Penicillium chysogenum. The remaining 10 species are exterior molds that act as the outdoor control.
- Carpeted Space Sampling: This test is specifically designed for carpeted spaces, with samples vacuumed from the carpet into a sterile dust collector (included with purchase). If your space lacks carpet, consider the SIM KIT, which tests for the same 36 mold species collected from dust on any surface.
- ERMI Score Included: The ERMI score, which ranges from -10 to 20, provides a relative moldiness index based on the levels of mold present. A higher score indicates a higher potential for mold-related health risks.
- User-Friendly: Receive an easy-to-understand report that clearly outlines the findings, helping you take informed action.
