Recent studies conducted in the Great Basin Desert region of the United States have shown that skin test reactivity to fungal and dust mite allergens are increased in children with asthma or allergy living in homes with evaporative coolers (EC).  The M-TRAP® air sampling cassette was used to examine occupant exposure to microbes from homes with evaporative coolers versus homes with standard HVAC systems.  The data was published in the journal Environmental Science Process & Impacts.  Click HERE to read the full scientific article.
