A recent outbreak of E. coli has been infecting children in the Knox County area. Sources claim that twelve children have been infected, two of them being close to death. It has been said that “7 were exposed through drinking raw milk, and 5 through an undisclosed source at a daycare” (wkrn.com). We have reason to believe that the raw milk came from the French Broad Farm in Knoxville, TN.

Raw milk can come from animals such as cows, sheep, or goats and is not pasteurized to kill potentially harmful bacteria. Anyone can be harmed by these bacteria, especially people with lower immune systems. Other diseases that raw milk can potentially carry includes: Salmonella and/or Listeria.

The French Broad Farm has presumably been allowed to continue their operations but shut down their Facebook page.

Keep you and your loved ones safe and make sure not to consume raw milk.
